Excellence Award for the students of Thermaikos Municipality

Ktima Gerovassiliou, in the framework of corporate social responsibility and support of the local community, establishes a cash prize of 1,000€ for the first student from every high school of Municipality of Thermaikos that excelled the entrance examinations.

Vangelis Gerovassiliou mentions: “this award is a symbolic gesture, in the memory of my parents, Argyris and Marianthi Gerovassiliou, who loved education, in a period that access to it was not evident. We are particularly happy, that today the circumstances are different, and we applaud the children’s’ effort and honour excellence.”

The award ceremony took place on Thursday, January 28, on the occasion of the feast of the Three Holy Hierarchs (Patron Saints of students and all levels of education) and in the presence of the Mayor Mr. Tsamaslis, Assistant Mayor of Education Mrs. Sofia Zifkopoulou, Vangelis and Sonia Gerovassiliou and the 5 students from the 5 high schools of the municipality.

Mayor’s comments:
"Greek education thrives thanks to these children! Having as an ally their talent, will, inner power, dare, and luck, they succeeded in achieving their goal so far. From the bottom of my heart, I wish them all these ingredients of success to follow them throughout their lives.

Regarding the gesture of Ktima Gerovassiliou I need to point out that this selfless act proves the love that our community shares for the youth, the generosity and concern about the students’ first expenses, when starting a new page in the book of their life, in a financially difficult period for everyone and most importantly for their parents. I would like to truly thank them."
