On Saturday, 17 May 2025, in the context of the editions of Ktima Gerovassiliou titled “By word of mouth”, a walking tour in the village of Epanomi with archaeologist-tour guide Margarita Tileli, and the launch of the new edition “The Community of Epanomi, Buildings and Routes”, will take place, along with the opening of the photography exhibition, in the garden of Ktima Gerovassiliou.

• Lauch of the new edition and opening of the photography exhibition

The launch of the new edition “By word of mouth: The Community of Epanomi, Buildings and Routes” and the opening of the photography exhibition by Stergios Karavatos will take place in the garden of Ktima Gerovassiliou, at 12.30pm.
This 11th edition presents important buildings of the village of Epanomi, which served the community as a whole—reference points for its residents. The contemporary photographic documentation is the core of the edition, while the texts and archival material complement it.
At the same time, the photography exhibition presents a selection of the above material. The contemporary photographs by Stergios Karavatos, alongside archival photos, offer a second reading of these buildings.
Each title in the “By word of mouth” series, through words and images, focuses on a different theme. With the contribution of residents, researchers, and photographers, aspects of Epanomi and its people are highlighted—through its past and present.
