George Prevelakis and Evangelos Livieratos at Gerovassiliou Wine Museum  

On Monday, October 10, 2022, at 7pm, we look forward to welcoming Emeritus Professor of Geopolitics at the Sorbonne University (Paris 1) George Prevelakis and the Emeritus Professor of Geodesy and Cartography at AUTH Evangelos Livieratos in a discussion on Geopolitics and the power of maps, on the occasion of E. Livieratos' new book "Geospatial Stakes, 1821 onwards. A deviation". 

If geopolitics is the result of the influence of geography on politics and especially on international relations, then the role of maps is self-evident since maps are the "images of geography" as well as the "eye of history".
 

Just before the lecture, the Wine Museum will be open from 6-7pm.    

The lecture will be in Greek.
