A project on competitiveness and entrepreneurship (NSRF 2007-2013) to support SME Groups for research and technological development activities with code number 17SMEs2010 was completed by Agricultural Winery Cooperative of Tirnavos (project coordinator), Ktima Gerovassiliou and Ktima Kir-Yianni (carriers/subcontractors), Faculty of Pharmacy and Department of Pharmacognosy & Chemistry of Natural Products of University of Athens and Agricultural University of Athens with Anastasia Panagiotou, agronomist-oenologist, as scientific coordinator and project contact person. The title of the project is “Development of an industrial process for the integrated sustainable management of winery waste through the recovery of high-value polyphenols and composting”.
