International Museum Day at Ktima Gerovassiliou

15 May. 2018

On Monday 21 May 2018, at 21.00, Ktima Gerovassiliou hosts the play “ARISTOS”, directed by Giorgos Papageorgiou, with free entrance, to celebrate International Museum Day.

The award winning novel (National Book Award for Fiction), “The tour of death” by Thomas Korovinis, about the life of Aristisdis Pagkratidis, so-called “the monster of Seych Sou”, was adapted for the theatre of Neos Kosmos in Athens this past winter and directed by Giorgos Papageorgiou. The play received a wildly enthusiastic reception by the press and public. It will be presented at Ktima Gerovassiliou on 21May, for the first time in Thessaloniki.

Nine characters, somehow connected to Aristidis Pagkratidis, compose the profile of Aristos, through their torrential and evocative narrations, speaking in different ways depending on their experience, character and role.

After the performance, discussion with the author, Thomas Korovinis, the director, Giorgos Papageorgiou, and the rest of the crew will follow.
