Christoforos Charalambakis at the Gerovassiliou Wine Museum
On Monday, April 22, 2024, at 8pm, we host Academic, Professor Emeritus of Linguistics at the University of Athens, Christoforos Charalambakis for a lecture on: "The timelessness of the Greek language".
The lecture will present the evolutionary course of the Greek language and its particular features, mainly on a lexical level. Emphasis will be placed on the present-day modern Greek language and the problems it faces in the era of globalisation, multilingual and multicultural societies, and artificial intelligence.
Just before the lecture, the Wine Museum will be open to visitors from 7 to 8pm.
The lecture will be in Greek.
