Christos Carras at Gerovassiliou Wine Museum

On Monday, May 9, 2022, at 8pm, we look forward to welcoming Executive Director of Onassis Stegi Christos Carras for a lecture on:

Culture and Sustainability- a deep and two-way relationship

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals are the commonly accepted policy framework for society, the economy, and the environment. Culture is not included in the Goals, it is rarely mentioned in a direct way, however it has a very essential role to play in achieving almost all the Goals. At the same time, the urgent need to base human relations and practices on the principles of sustainability has become clear, affecting all sectors including culture. Through this two-way relationship, new methodologies are formed that penetrate the traditional fields of knowledge, break the silos, and open new perspectives for societies.

The lecture will be held at the café of the museum in Greek.

Just before the lecture the Wine Museum will be open from 7-8pm.
